I’ve been going to Charred for a long time now, and it’s definitely one of my favourite chicken places in Hamilton. I love the way they split and grill the chicken. The environment is super nice, especially in the summer, and I frequently bring friends here.
We were in Hamilton for the day and decided to stop in to this place for a late lunch. We had very friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered a full chicken with 3 sides and tried the brisket poutine. Four of us were stuffed and we had leftovers!! A definite gem in Hamilton :) Flavours were fantastic.
The chicken sandwich and chicken wrap were always great. Very tasty and love the piri piri mayo. The service has always been fast and polite. One of my favourite places to get a chicken sandwich. No pricier than other places, the chicken is always fresh and real..
Went here for an early dinner about a month ago, really nice place. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet, inviting, and cozy. I ordered a ceasar salad which was delicious and made perfect. I also ordered a chicken wrap & fries and gravy. The Fries were nice and crispy, the gravy delicious, the wrap was a nice size only thing I didn't think it would of came with dark meat usually every place I go has white meat in the wrap like chicken breast, I'm not a fan of dark meat so it was kinda a disappointment but it was still tasty and made good. The waitress was very kind, friendly, attentive. I would go back here again and try out a few other items on the menu.
The only problem I got is I can only give 5 stars! Charred catered our company gathering and everyone was surprised and satisfied with the food. Mr. Mark accommodated me and let me tasted all the foods before I ordered for our gathering. All the best, will dine in soon with my husband! Thank you so much, Charred. Forgot to take a picture
ok so I finally found Real poutine in Ontario. I'm originally from Montreal area so grew up with real poutine. Ordered the poutine it is awesome. it's what a poutine should be the cheese is real Quebec cheese curds. OMG a poutine where they got the sauce spot on. Not only best poutine in Ontario but a really good poutine even if it was in Quebec. Ok so I ordered brisket poutine yeah don't do that it's insanely expensive for the amount of brisket you get just go reg or bacon if you want meat. it gets loud in there when it gets crowded. we ordered cheese cake for dessert sure it was good but she only brought us 1 piece with 2 spoons but when we saw how small it was we went good thing we only got one because $9 for something that small is nuts. but it was good. this will be my go to poutine place from now on.
Surprised they don't have higher reviews. Service was really nice, and quick! Food was really tasty. We got the half chicken. Extra spicy sauce was great. Mild was a bit bland but that's what mild is I guess.
The chicken was so dry it had a grainy texture between your teeth. It even had a gamey taste, like like was just barely expired. Service and atmosphere were fine. The waitress was friendly and attentive. My partner and I split a chicken poutine. I had a beer, and she had a cider. The bill was 52 dollars. We felt ripped off and that we wasted our 1 night a week we can afford to go out and share a dinner.
